Admission to Wascana Rehabilitation

Home / Clinical Support / Rehabilitation / Admission to Wascana Rehabilitation

Inpatient admission is on the basis of referral by any practicing physician in Saskatchewan to an Adult Program physiatrist or orthopedic surgeon.

On admission, information may be requested from you by the Admitting Coordinator. Please have your Hospitalization and GMS, or MSI, cards with you when you register. Please report to the Admitting Department near the main entrance of the building.

You will be escorted to your nursing unit where you will be met by a member of the nursing staff who will do an assessment and show you around the unit.

If communication is difficult, due to either a medical condition or language barrier, then it is important to have a family member, who knows your medical history, present on admission.

In the following one or two days you will be seen for further assessment by various members of the interdisciplinary team. This interdisciplinary team will develop a treatment plan for you.
