Regional Infection Prevention and Control

Home / Regional Infection Prevention and Control

Regional Infection Prevention and Control addresses health care associated infections and aims at preventing them from happening in health care settings, within the Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region. Health care related infections are one of the major causes of illness and death in patients/residents.

Prevention and control of these infections is the primary goal of the Infection Prevention and Control department. The department’s mission is to provide a safe and healthy environment for patients/residents, families and visitors, by putting infection control and basic hygiene, such as hand washing, at the heart of everyday practices.

Infection Prevention and Control offices are located at Regina General Hospital and Pasqua Hospital and can be contacted by phone at 306 -766-3428 or by fax at 306-766-3361.
