Philosophy of Qu’Appelle House
All residents living in Qu’Appelle House are individuals with their own needs and desires. Each employee shall make every effort to ensure that care delivered is guided by the wishes of the individuals receiving care—and to their families. Every courtesy shall be extended to families, visitors, and volunteers to make them feel welcome and an important part of the resident care at Qu’Appelle House.
The Qu’Appelle House facility provides care for 34 level residents. Nineteen suites provide Assisted Living to independent residents. Resident rooms are private, washroom facilities are shared with one individual in adjoining room.
All residents have the right to:
- be treated with courtesy, respect, and understanding on an equal basis;
- quality care and a clean, safe environment;
- freedom of speech;
- a right to privacy;
- be informed of their medical condition and make choices of treatments;
- develop their potential;
- and manage their personal and financial affairs (if able).
